Wound Care

At The Pavilion Rehabilitation and Nursing, we understand the importance of personalized care when it comes to wound management. Our dedicated Wound Care team is committed to facilitating healing and preventing future occurrences of wounds for each resident. With utmost care and respect, we develop individualized treatment plans tailored to the unique needs and stages of each resident’s wound. Our specialized team diligently monitors every wound site, ensuring early detection and prompt intervention in case of infection.

Our comprehensive program includes a range of services designed to address various wound types and conditions. We provide in-house weekly wound monitoring and care, offering ongoing attention to promote healing. Our team is equipped to perform in-house debridement, a process that removes dead tissue to facilitate the healing process. Additionally, we offer wound vacs, a specialized therapy that promotes healing through the application of negative pressure.

As part of our commitment to comprehensive wound management, we conduct thorough wound assessments, which encompass factors such as weight, nutritional therapy, and hydration. By addressing these aspects, we strive to optimize the healing process and enhance overall well-being. Our team is experienced in providing daily or twice-daily dressings, ensuring proper wound care and promoting a clean environment for healing.

Our expertise extends to a wide range of wound types, including decubitus ulcers, pressure ulcers, vascular wounds, abrasions, and skin tears. We have the knowledge and resources to address the unique challenges associated with each type of wound, employing evidence-based approaches to deliver the best possible outcomes for our residents.
